Why PoI was rejected for upcoming elections? Question to current council members

Finally… someone said it.

Lon is using NEM resources form the beginning. They are using even now. Paul Christian and Dona Rinon are helping Proxima X. Read my other thread - Bookkeeping, Budgeting, Cashflow, Financing

How much money did we spend in the Middle Eastern region in 2017?
Why is a single family is managing all the allocated middle east funds?
Who approved this under what circumstances?

Paul and Dona - so-called NEM Middle East are still working for Proxima X and NEM at the same time. I’m sure they are getting a bounty from Proxima X. (@GetCOINtoday You can dig this part) They spend close to $15K to incorporate the Middle East office and issued their own funds so that they can run the business like a family project.

I’m an insider and I think it’s best for NEM if we kick out the existing cheaters from the top position.

NEM has been through much, much worse. It will survive and grow. Transparency is important

As a newbie can I just say I never really appreciated Nems presence in Dubai.
Call me naive but I always viewed Dubai as a holiday destination and playground for the rich and flamboyant.

I mean what inroads have actually been made via the Dubai connection?

Cheers

At the very least surely those paid for memberships can be disqualified from the current voting process due to conflict of interest (blatant vote rigging)? All candidates should pledge to change the system to allow PoI voting and immediately call a second election. This whole thing is a farce and the community can’t stand for it.

If you knew it and didn’t say anything aren’t you accomplice?

I agree on both items . There should be more transparency but clearly not everyone thinks like this.
Even posting the voting result was not appreciated by all council members.

Fist of all, I would suggest you get your facts straight and back it up, before making any accussations without proof !! My stakes in ProximaX as part of the public ICO is purely acquired by me, so please don’t go making unfounded allegations to the contrary.

My running for the President is my right as a fully registered member of the Foundation, and also active member of the Council for the past 1.5 years. All decisions made in the Council is fully documented, and unless the Interim President comes out and make direct reference to that, please do not make unfounded allesgations. All decisions made in the Council are also done in a fair voting during the Council meeting. While I may not agree with some of the decisions made, but when the decision is made by majority votes or in accordance to the by-laws, we stick to it.

By the way, the decision to acknowledgement or remove voting accounts, has not been decided by Council… so how then do you know that Nelson and I are trying to block it - you must be a fortune teller to see something that has not even taken place !!

The entire concept of the Foundation was for it to be a legal entity to represent the community, with its charter to educate and promote NEM and as a Singapore entity, needs to abide by the by-laws and constititution as a company limited by guarantee. This was decided in the early days by the community and early founders. Where were you when that was being done?

Your entire post is based on your own understanding of the truths (or mistruths) that you want to believe. As Lon, said… show proof, as talk or in this case, write posts like the above is cheap. You are entitled to your point of view, even if its greatly flawed by non-factual information, and your own sense of belief.

Have you engaged with Dubai government before?

Do you know what it takes to even get through the door with a POC with any Dubai government agency. The fact that the NEM UAE has successfully engagements is the testament to our successes there. So, unless you have your own personal experience, please do not make any judgements of the hardwork that the NEM UAE team has done, and is doing.

We have no issue to reveal the voting results.

But you seemed to have forgotten the fact during your tenure as Interim President, that you made all NEM Foundation council members plus also NEM global staff signed an NDA, and your action of revealing the voting just violated that NDA. At the very least, if the voting was to be revealed, shouldn’t it be informed prior and the entire Council permission is sought before doing so.

Your selective application of the NDA rule is what we have an issue with.

It is impossible. Because I do not understand English.

LOL, thanks for posting this here.
Finally people in the community get to see the kind of BS I’ve had to go through since April.

An NDA that was put in place to protect intellectual property and confidential information shouldn’t be used as a shield against transparency. Feel free to put up a council vote to let the foundation sue me for this so called breach of that NDA.

The community was going to see the outcome of the vote anyway. Moreover , it was mentioned in the council chat that the results of the vote would be made public.

I’m just posting the message that Niko made :

00

There were a couple other people that agreed to transparency and nobody ( including yourself ) objected.

Who is we ? I only saw you complain…

Is this thing turning into some kind of joke?

The world is not necessarily a kind and fair place.
Men are generally very corruptible and if not kept under check.
In the real world, people will generally have a lot of opportunities to get corrupted without any consideration for the society in general.
So the way we keep things like this in check is by implementing a punishment strategy.
Why not setting PoI = 0 ?
Let’s implement what is already in protocol to real people, not just to nodes.

So if it was agreed the vote would be made public, please post results … Thanks!

It’s a little higher up here.
