A private key really is just a random 256 bit number, so in fact any 64 byte hexadecimal string will do.


So if that is the case I could just use the newest NCC client and from the cogs of the NEM beta address "Create Real Account Data", this will display a private key which I can use for my headless NIS?

I achieved to open mi WiFi port! :) 

My node never fail. I have many repaired laptops and 1 pc. I'm addicted to laptops and  their repair (reballing).

Today did not work my node, but I changed the laptop, and now it works fine.  My windows is very clean, freshly formatted. Internet is very dirty, many danger hackers. :-[

I recommend everyone save backups(windows xp,vista,7,8) with acronis true image 2014

Recommended programs:
-Acronis true image 2014
-Adblock plus
-Shred files (glary utilities or advanced system care)
-Folder vault
-Keepass
-Malwarebytes (spybot, supertantispyware)
-Avira antivirus with avira browser safety
-Zonealarm firewall

No,Ip is not changed,but my NIS stuck at block 10484 and when I open my wallet I get this-"An error occurred that the development team did not have foreseen. Apologies for this, maybe a retry might help. Otherwise, please open up an issue within the NEM NIS/NCC community."

Are you using the windows version?? Did you deleted the folders and java cache? You can delete java cache doing an: javaws -viewer

No I did not deletted the folders. I have deletted cache like you said,but my NIS is synchronizing. At block 10484, est. 11 days behind... ???


Did you deleted the db and restarted?

DB is inside the NIS/Data folder. Its extention i0s .db

It may have corrupted in some momment.

On linux machines it can be iinside the /root/nis/data folder .

On windowzs is inside, usually: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\nem\nis\data

Edit: you can take a red here too: https://forum.ournem.com/index.php?topic=2611.0 Its a little complicated, but just needs the door 7890 closed to not sync. =)

@trololo try to be sure if there is an open door on your modem. You need to direct the open Door to tour IP.if you use windows do a ipconfig and if you use linux do a iproute to be able to discover tour IP

lol, seems i was too tired when i posted his private key.
I pmed him a new private key.
You can rob the above account but it would be fair if everyone of you would just grab a few millions.

I setup a NIS in vps, but miss boot it. The address is [url=http://181.41.210.155:7890/node/info]http://181.41.210.155:7890/node/info how to conect NCC to him? I run NCC in my PC but it returns a error: 401 This operation cannot be completed because it might leak a private key by sending it to a remote NIS. I can change some file in standalone NCC to boot a node without showing the error?

@Icharles123: You have to specify the private key to use for booting in the config.properties file in the NIS folder. You can specify any 64 hex-character sequence as private key for booting. So the entries in config.properties could look like this:

So I had to access the vps through a vnc.
