Creating New Wallet- Acct no blockchain

HI. Need some help here.
I have looked through most of the post and a few post have asked similar questions though there are no answers that are really helping me.
I have created a new Client using a simple wallet with backup file.
The Choose Account I can see is:
Address: NBZO7K-6IY3ZL-4XDRUY-LFI2PS-AR5QU6-KBGMJX-CV3O
Public key: You need to make a transaction to get a public key

I have tried to transfer coins to the account: NBZO7K-6IY3ZL-4XDRUY-LFI2PS-AR5QU6-KBGMJX-CV3O.
It fails every time and the exchange I am using can cancel the transaction due to account/ key not found on the block Chain.

**When I sent from exchange I sent to: NBZO7K-6IY3ZL-4XDRUY-LFI2PS-AR5QU6-KBGMJX-CV3O and add in a Message “From Exchange”.

Question:
How do I do a first transaction to get a public key on the block chain?

I have spent hours reading and forums and NEM guides and it appears to be really easy, what am I missing here?

There is one way to obtain a public key.
It is that you are transferring money from NanoWallet.

Usually, it is possible to receive remittance without a public key.
Perhaps the problem you are having is the issue of the exchange.

So, I gave you 1 XEM a while ago.
I think that 1 XEM has arrived.
Please send 0XEM from NanoWallet to yourself.
What I sent is a 1XEM fee that is necessary to do that.

Thank you so much. I have received the 1xem. I have sent to myself 0xem and it works.
Also can see my account on the block chain.
I have again tried to send my XEM from the exchange to my account and is not working.
The issues must be on the exchange side.

I will refund your 1XEM when my XEM comes through.

Even if there is no return, it is okay, please get it.

If the exchange is bittrex, this will be helpful.
