You need the .wlt file, and the password to that file. Those are all you need. Import the .wlt file into nanowallet 1.3 and you should be good to go.

what happens when you choose “import wallet” in nanowallet, and you select “NemWallet2.wlt”?

Only wallets exported using “Export for lightwallet” will work in Nano

I’m just starting with crypto. To add more, it is stated not to use MS Edge browser.

Firefox or Google Chrome should be used. You can use also standalone app prepared for windows, mac or linux. All you can get on nem.io in get wallet section.
