So are we looking for a name for the reward program or the nodes ? The title suggests one thing but the suggestions another.

I would simply call it HPN (High Performance Nodes).
The program is then called HPN program^^

I would call it “cloud chains” because the nodes give access to chains.

Cloud chains is kind of a cool idea. We could call it the NEM Storm (a chain of clouds = storm?) ^^

why u dont use the existing term “masternodes” i know its different but masternodes is know in the crypto industry as something that generate the owner rewards and do something for the network

i think NEM MasterNodes in short NMN would work well

and for a non crypto nerd masternode still sounds like something important in the network

For the reward system: N.S.R - Network Sustainability Rewards
For the network: N.S.P - NEM Service Providers

That way both names would be kinda similar allthough it doesn’t have a nice ring like other suggestions.

[/quote]I think it’s not important at all that the crypto scene feels comfortable with a NEM program name. Crypto people get it anyways (or are not interested). The rest of the world is the interesting part!

“Cloud chains”: not sure if it is a good idea to have another “chain” word (besides blockchain). High performance nodes are not really a chain. And “giving access to the chain” is not enough to deserve that name :wink: Do you want to call my cubie something with chain too? :smile:

Again, we have are looking for 2 terms, right?

  1. How to call the node reward program?
  2. How to call the nodes which participate in the program?

For 2) I do like “Core Nodes”, but it is misleading, because they are not really the core. You could shut down all core nodes and the NEM network would still not die. So this could cause some negative misunderstanding.
