Open old wallet from 2015 [Reward in coins & karma]

I have 2 wallets from 2015 and one of them should contain around 225000 xem from around late redemption period.
I have the correct password to both and the .adb for one of them plus a full nem folder with logs from around that time.

However I am having trouble to get to open them, I have read all relevant threads I can find about this but I lack some tech understanding and am having a hard time putting it all together alone.

Using the nano wallet I can not get any response or error message when using any of the two .wlt files.
I’m thinking that I should install a wallet from that 2015 time period and try to open them through this would be a good place to start.
I have tried with version v0.6.43 found here https://github.com/NemProject/NemCommunityClient/releases/tag/v0.6.43 but can not seem to install it correct to get it to run.
When I run the install-core file, I guess that is what should be done, a window quickly opens and then closes and then nothing happens.

What could I try to fix this?

Hello @CarCon ,

  1. So let’s go. First you need to have NCC http://bob.nem.ninja/last-ncc/
  2. After you run this (runNcc.bat on Windows) you go to http://127.0.0.1:8989/ncc/web/index.html in browser
  3. Click create new wallet and create empty wallet. Now search on disk where adb and wlt file are placed and copy your files from backup. On windows it is in <user_dir>/nem/ncc
  4. Now change node to remote in NCC (Settings -> and put remote node -> https://nemnodes.org/nodes/). Of course you can also runnis.bat and wait for synchronization (probably couple hours).
  5. Now fallow instruction and export comatabile with nanowallet wlt file https://docs.nem.io/en/nanowallet/import-ncc-to-nanowallet and import into it.

Thanks for fast reply!

When try to open the link at second step my browser gives me an error that the connection is rejected “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED”, what could I do to fix this?
