These are a selection of complaints I have seen on BTT from random sources (not necessarily my concerns). I have collected them and rated them to see how the general crypto community will accept us. So far, I think we deserve the grade of D. So lots of room for improvement. I know that might be harsh to say, but I tried to take a hard look in the mirror.
Green = We are doing it right
Black = not good and/or not bad
Red = We are definitely lacking
Major problems that need to be addressed and are crypto wide problems:
1. Miners
Well… Considering we haven't even launched yet, it isn't that bad of a report card.
I spend a lot of time looking at cryptos all over and I really think that NEM is a great crypto, very possibly the crypto with the very best foundational NIS of all the cryptos. Many others are prettier, a few have more features, but I think we are positioned to blast off in the next year.
Not all that is red, is destined to stay red.
The proposal for using 10% of the unclaimed/sock stakes for an "unconventional marketing" fund should help with a lot of the marketing.
I think it is important to focus on creating a grass roots movement. People need to have skin in the game and work towards a common goal. That goal should be to give people power over value and information transfer. Then we will be unstoppable.
Random block times (too long or too short)
