I tried to open a new wallet and I do have my private key, username and pw from long long ago. I can even SEE the darn XEM in my’new’ wallet when I put it all in, but I can’t access it since I have used my '‘old’ username for this ‘new’ wallet. I am at a loss as to what to do. There’s got to be a way! Please please help
Hi Katsoo, if you have the private key available your XEM are safe.
- Make sure you have downloaded latest version of Nano Wallet for your OS from https://www.nem.io/install.html (NanoWallet-1.4.10)
- Extract downloaded file and run NanoWallet executable file
- Select SIGN UP > Private Key Wallet > Enter Wallet Name (User Defined) > Enter Existing Private Key
- Account Address field will auto-populate if private key is valid
- Leave Network field on Mainnet
- Enter and Confirm a badass, long, complex password/passphrase to protect them XEM
- Follow on-screen directions to further protect account
- Access restored
I figured it out. But i DO appreciate the help thank you very much!
