Is there any news i missd on the project?
I reckon it’ll take at least a year for that thing to be up and running.
They tell that exchange will be ready before end of this year. We will see.
Not sure that I understand about what exact project you are talking about, but may be some updates?

BlockChain Global is the Australian company that is said to be undertaking the task of implementing an Australian Nem exchange.
At present they seem involved in this, look at the sponsors and mentors for familiar faces.

Possibly they are behind in the project or have other priorities before launching an exchange.
From what I gather Australian exchanges have found some lacking bank support from about late last year till now, so maybe some changes need to be addressed before the exchange becomes a real working reality without hindrances.
Late last year (2017) would not have been the ideal climate to launch an exchange in Australia imho as the banks started cutting off access in some areas.

Well they could still build that exchange in Australian and use bank account on New Zeeland or Vanuatu or some other more friendly country.
If Australian bank won’t do any business there are for sure alternative banks that would be
glad to do business or there are for sure alternative payment methods that could be used
for that scope.
