Bitcoin deposit to NXT Asset Exchange issue

Hello there NEMsters,

I am in the process of purchasing NEMstake from NXT Asset Exchange. I have attempted to deposit my bitcoin to the exchange, however after 6 confirmations, my NXT balance hasn't changed (0 NXT).

Has anyone attempted this or advice?

You've deposited BTC to an exchange and you are suprised your NXT balance isn't changing ?
Am I missing something here ?

Are you using secureAE or multigateway? If not either of those then what did you use to change btc for nxt?

Hello OnlyNEM …

I never used https://trade.secureae.com/#12465186738101000735 .
But I signed up for testing and when I hit the "instant buy" button, I get

"Send 1.559576675 Bitcoin to this unique address: 15ANBxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxHN6NJ9
Which will place a buy order for 0.5 NEMstake
Price quoted as of 2014/10/25 13:8:45 UTC

Sending Bitcoin to the above address will place a buy order by:
Converting Bitcoin to NXT at an optimized price via exchange partners.
Depositing the converted NXT into your account.
Automatically placing a Buy Order for the above, when a sufficient amount of NXT becomes present in your account."

Did you hit that "instant buy" button and did you get the same message?
Maybe it placed a buyorder or bought your NEMstake already and you did not notice it?
I have all my NEMstake already, so I will not send any BTC there for testing how/if it works properly.

I presume you are talking about secureae. Secureae is not so reliable in terms of time. It can take half a day or more. Write to them to complain.

Yes I am referring to secureAE and I thankfully I only sent a dollar in BTC for a test. I didn't send them my wad of BTC yet. I am just to buy some NXT from another exchange. My next question is, will sending NXT from my wallet to secureAE exchange be faster?

depends on what wallet you have.. if you have the native client running that is much faster and far more smooth than secureAE which can be very laggy.. its down to your preference though.. secureAE is very handy if you dont always use the same machine as you dont need to worry about downloading the blockchain..

While in NXT passphrase is your account number, you can login into secureAE with your passphrase, there is no need to transfer funds from your account to secureAE account. Just click "Sign in" in secureAE and choose in the opened window "NXT client login". You will log into your account and will be able trade here.

I have the NXT client with  blockchain sync and logged in. Can I just buy NEMstake on the NXT client through the asset client then?

Yup no need for secure AE. Just go to asset exchange and search the asset Id.
