Dear NEMsters,
we are a group of people, hosted in Berlin/Germany, working since more than a year together for a NEW Economy. Our aim is to bring concepts of solidary economy from theory into practise.
We have found an assosiaction which is also running a own shop. Further we organize free events for information and discussion about Open Source, working together in non-hierarchical teams, food growing, and also about concepts of new money.
As participants in the economy we know how hard it is to survive on the market, using fiat-/debt-money. Everbody has to put the little bit he has aside, the wages are shrinking, jobs are more unsave than ever.
Our assosiation has a natural intrest in bringing new money in the world and thats why we are founding a Open-Money-Working-Group right now.
As we are reading more and more about NEM, which could become a world wide movement, we are thinking about building out a real life structure which is dedicated to bring NEM into the shops in our neighborhood here in Berlin, a city who anyway is open for stuff like this.
Sure, right now its too early for this step. We need to wait till the betaversion and the coins are ready, its important to have a smart and easy tool which every shop-owner can use, more press attention is necessary etc…a certain price stability would also be good.
But we would like to hear from you if there is a interessent in the NEM community for structures like this. Are there other groups in Berlin yet? The idea is also to raise funds to finance the work and to give shop-owners who start to accept NEM a nice bunch of coins…not just pocketmoney…a nice stake what raises attention.
We have also a nice room availible here in which open working group meetings can happen. Other cities can copy the concept till we have groups like this in every city of the world.
What do you think? What is the status in the NEM scene in gereral regarding work like this? As our assosication is volontary and we are not having a nem-stake by now is there willingness of the community to support and fund work like this?

Thank you for a wonderful post and effort you are making in your community! And thank you for investigating NEM. Although I don't make any decision nor do I speak for the leading team, I'm very glad to read about such projects.
I'm also glad that powerful new way of thinking is happening in my "neighborhood" since I'm in Croatia.

perfect...we will contact you there soon. right now we are also building out our structures, as we are a collaboration of different project working together for global change.
the timing is just perfect. soon we have bigger rooms and more people will be integrated, as NEM is still in development.
Crypto is one of our core topics so we will be on the trello board soon. In the meantime we continue to build out the stuff here :)
Interesting. Could you please give some more details about yourselves? Whats the association called? What is its main purpose? What other projects you have worked/are working on? Do you have a website?
