Can't harvest - please help!

When I click “Start Local Harvesting” I get
Error 401 remote NIS cannot service /ncc/api/wallet/account/unlock

Why is this? Is this the error you get if you don’t have 10k in the wallet?

Do you have delegated harvesting activated? Without delegated harvesting you cannot use a remote NIS since unlocking would transfer the private key.

I want to do local harvesting, not delegated.

Then you have to run a local nis too.
