Haven’t logged in to my wallet for about a year and just downloaded latest wallet on iMac,but can’t open my wallet. On the select wallet from local storage. There is nothing there to select and so put in my password and the cursor won’t allow to to login. I have my private key, but there is no option to enter it? Any ideas?
First, did you back up your wallet last year? If yes, then you need to find your .wlt file then let new Wallet search and use that .wlt file.
If you did not back up your wallet and if you have same computer that you used old wallet last year then search for .wlt file.
If you did not backup and the computer is new or got formatted then it is gone (I believe). I hope I am wrong.
Thanks heaps man. That worked. Do we have to have our tokens in the wallet to get the XYM airdrop? Or can we just have the tokens in one of the opt in exchanges listed on the NEM website?
In your Nem Wallet, did you opt-in your XEM coins for XYM coins? If not, please do it. Once your XEM is OPT-IN then all you need is to wait until Snapshot launches.
That’s all I did. But I read other posts. People opt-in their XEM in their exchange platform like Binance and Binance should give them XYM tokens after snapshot launches. I do not want to risk my money so I leave it in my NEM Wallet and I probably won’t sell it until it is equal to BTC/ETH level!
When exactly will the snapshot take place and how long will it take?

My guess is tomorrow we get pre-XYM tokens then on March 15, XYM will become official and you do whatever you want to do with XEM and XYM.
