Hi! I’ve never used XEM before, so while trying to withdraw some XEM bought at Poloniex to my account at another exchange (Zaif.jp) I probably confused message and address fields. Zaif.jp gave me this: dedd2c***17283fd and this: NAGJG3-QFWYZ3-7LMI7I-QPSGQN-YADGSJ-ZGJRD2-DIYA and i’m afraid that I pasted first one as an address, and second one as a message. After that I got error message from Polo, but XEM went from Polo account and seem to be nowhere now. Is it possible to solve it somehow? Unfortunately, the sum was not so small for me. Please help!
You will need to open a ticket with Poloniex most likely. Is the XEM in this account the XEM you were missing? http://chain.nem.ninja/#/search/NAGJG3-QFWYZ3-7LMI7I-QPSGQN-YADGSJ-ZGJRD2-DIYA
You can open a ticket with Poloniex here: https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/home
Saul, thank you for response. I’ve already opened a ticket, no answer yet. But the problem is that if I sent to wrong address (dedd2c***17283fd) - this is not a XEM address at all. I’d like to know what happens if somebody sends XEM to the address not in XEM format (say, just print “helloworld” instead of address). Does XEM wallet reject such transaction? What happens to XEM then? I looked through nem blockchain explorer and didn’t find my sum at the time I sent neither at zaif.jp wallet (NAGJG3-QFWYZ3-7LMI7I-QPSGQN-YADGSJ-ZGJRD2-DIYA) nor at Polo wallet (NBZMQO7ZPBYNBDUR7F75MAKA2S3DHDCIFG775N3D) from which it should be sent. So where can it be? Still at Poloniex?
A transaction with a corrupt address is rejected by the network. The xem get not transferred and thus stay where they are.
Thank you for this information! If so, they must be still at Polo account. Will wait for Polo support response.
Finally, they found these XEM at Polo, so all is ok. Saul, BloodyRookie, thank you once again for your help!
