I don't have a VPS which I could provide for the block explorer.
But maybe somebody could help? I think the block explorer is an important feature…
we'll try bring block explorer back to life tomorrow. It definitely is important, it helps us analyze network's health.
ok but it seems to be a problem with the vps. so maybe the community could collects some funds for a block explorer VPS?

Yes my VPS is overcrowded right now which is why we're going to try to deploy it on one of the others.
Ok, so you got other another VPS… Alright
NEMBEX ist pretty much left alone right now because there are more important things todo (plus my vps couldn't handle the load of all the things anymore and it's now hosted somewhere else).
I'd like to start a conversation about what should happen when there's time again though.
My thoughts:
[li]New Design according to our branding[/li]
[li]Dropping REDIS as storage and using it merely as LRU-cache (so NEMBEX is always in Sync with NIS)[/li]
[li]Adding CheckNIS as feature for NEMBEX instead of a seperate website[/li]
[li]Adding notification for transactions (User can sign-up to receive emails when tx is made from his account. (Have to figure out a way to avoid spam though…maybe have a fee to sign-up or alike)[/li]
@freigeist: Will you still be on board after launch to work with me on these things ?
@all: Any other ideas ?
Hello patmast3r
Yes, I can still continue to work on the block explorer as i did up until now if you want me to.
Regarding the other things on block explorer:
is there a particular reason why you needed a storage engine for the data except maybe
the missing NIS API feature at that time?
Is it needed to have kind of storage engine also in the future?
Could the data be pulled out of NIS on request directly?
I ask because I have seen the NIS API documentation that was released few days ago and
it seems from it that all this can be pulled directly but maybe I'm wrong and there could be
a performance issue if done so?!
Thanks
See ya.

Great !
Main reason was performance and I intend to keep it for the statistical stuff (blocktime diagramm) because I'm pretty sure this is magnitudes faster if stored in redis..
Most of the calls I will however now move to query NIS directly and only use redis as cache.
When is the block explorer going to work again?
Its at block 66801…
Will be up again once gimre is available again.
Ok thanks.
I nominate Gimre, Pat and BloodyRookie for NEMly of NEM Award 2014 ;D ;D ;D
Keep up the good work.
oh its working again! thanks!

again not working…?
Seems to work again, but its saying
Harvester: undefined
Yes, the block explorer doesn't show the Harvester. Or is it anonymous transactions?
it's working for me

The block explorer is not yet fully repaired. Gimre will fix it part by part.
