I am unable to begin harvesting my XEM. When I click the Send button in the Manage Delegated Account screen, the following error message appears: “error importance transfer needs to be deactivated”. What does this mean and how can I deactivate the importance transfer? My Nano Wallet status is “Active”. I have 12,000 XEM in my account.
Does your account balance show 10,000 vested XEM?
you can deactivate delegated harvesting, not status of your nano wallet.
If you want to change status of delegated harvesting you can do so by following this steps.
NOTE that importance transfer costs 6 XEM to send.

The issue I’m having has evolved. Yes, I have more than 10,000 XEM vested. I selected deactivate in the Manage Delegated Account screen and clicked Send. The Harvesting Panel Status says “deactivating”. It has been stuck in this status for a couple of hours. Any ideas?
this activation/deactivation process takes 6 hours to complete
