Experimental Wallet

I purchased NEM and am able to connect to my Experimental Wallet and see my balance however I am not sure what to do. I don’t want to do anything but hold it and watch it grow.Is there a more userfriendly NEM wallet. Please advise.

Thanks,
Mike

I don’t know what you mean by “experimental wallet”. I’d advice just using the nano wallet found here

See attached - this is the wallet I have
Having trouble finding my private keys - where are they generally stored and what are they called. And - can I backup my experimental

wallet?

For a full featured wallet, you should use the nanowallet. You can get it here https://nem.io/install.html

You can easily restore your light wallet account in the nano wallet by creating a brain wallet in nano wallet with the same password.

i did what you said but the only option i see in wallet dropdown is the one i just created in brain wallet. How do i restore my experimental wallet?

Not sure what you mean. You do not need the ‘restore’ or ‘import’ feature for the brain wallet. When you create a new brain wallet in nanowallet, You just use the same password for nano wallet brain wallet as you did for light wallet.

So did you try logging in with that new wallet?

Yes i logged in but it just created a new wallet. How can i access my coins?

So you used the same password, but when you opened the wallet, you now have a different address, with no XEM?

correct

Are you positive you created a brain wallet in nano? And not a normal wallet.

Yes - however I am having a hard time finding my keys. If I search my hard
drive for *.wlt

Will that be the only way to find my private keys?

If you used the right password it will generate the same private key, with your XEM on it if any.

Nano use the exact same password derivation than experimental wallet.

If you used latest Nano to create your account you must have seen a warning displaying your private key for you to backup
