Harvesting and Super Nodes Requirements

Are there any plans to have the requirements for harvesting and/or to becoming a super node based on the value and/or other criteria of XEM?

Maybe it would be good to base the requirements off activity and amount of vested XEM to make people want to use it and also keep investing in it. The vested XEM could be based off the average of the top 1000 hodlers. Having set amounts seem like it will only benefit the original holders of XEM and make it become stagnate eventually once this frenzy of cryptocurrencies fades.

Now a twist would be to reduce XEM for inactivity or charge hodlers a higher fee for not using the currency for long periods of time. Maybe this increase in fee would only happen at the harvesting and super node level.

There is no plan to change the supernode requirements for now.

My understanding is then that currently NEM is designed for the larger pool holders and has no plans for an all peer-to-peer vesting system.

not sure i understand that expression.

The last part is not very clear. I was trying to say there are no plans for smaller stake holders to harvest XEM and show my disappointment

Does anyone think having a max amount of coins and restricting the harvesting to larger stake holders as stifling it in the long run? If XEM reaches lets say $3/USD then it’s over $30k to be a harvester while someone that bought at .30 has over $3k. Overtime if XEM keeps increasing in value then it will be even harder; therefore, benefitting the rich and growing their wealth. The features could keep people investing it but eventually other currencies will have similar features so…

Does anyone know of any changes to the fees in the future? These seem very high too.

Lowering the number of xem needed for harvesting only would probably be possible without any disadvantage, though i don’t really think that harvesting is lucrative enough right now to run a node. The roi is pretty low so rich people won’t invest because of the harvesting fees.

Fees are high but the rise in price has not been for long so far. When a correction comes the fees will be alright again. Therefore we should not adjust too fast.

Hello, i have an question for Local Harvesting:

If I will open an wallet of 10000 NEM and I will decide to start by my personal Macbook air the local Harvesting the system working done?
Do you know the minimum hardware request for an correct local work for this?

Please let me know if it is correct:
1- Created the appropriate wallet of 10.000 XEM
2- Start by web the activation procedure
3- What around two week to arrive at the mining activation
4- The system will to generate and send the token to “marketplace”
a. In my originary wallet of 10.000 XEM will be added automatically the 10% of total every 24h of continuous work

  • After 24h I will to have in my personal wallet 11.000 XEM (I will have the possibility to withdraw the XEM any time)
  • After 48h I will to have in my personal wallet 12.100 XEM (I will have the possibility to withdraw the XEM any time)
  • After 72h I will to have in my personal wallet 13.310 XEM (I will have the possibility to withdraw the XEM any time)
  • After 96h I will to have in my personal wallet 14.641 XEM (I will have the possibility to withdraw the XEM any time)
  • Ecc….
    All is right?

For the system is mandatory not change the hardware? If I broke my Mac computer and replace it by an windows PC isn’t any problem or difference?

I’m sorry but I don’t know very well this technology…

Many thanks in advance

2 - 4: what do you mean with that?

there is no automated 10% increase in balance every 24 hours, that would be magic.

Hello,
I’m sorry for the English…
My question Is regard the harvesting fees, I will to understand how mouch NEM is possible to increase?
If I will invest on 10.000 nem, by local harvesting how much nem profit for day (after the activation)?
i’m evaluating if this system apport money gain…
Many thanks

I think the profit is very limited. With 10000 xem you will get not more than one block per month with something like 5 xem fee on average. So you will not get rich
