Harvesting node and account node?! what is the difference?

Hi All.

what is the difference between the node listed when pressing the node button at the top of the screen on my nano wallet dashboard (button next to account button ithink) and the selected node for delegated harvesting (in manage delegated harvesting section within services)?

MAIN QUESTION IS; Do I need to use the same node for both of these (this would mean selecting an available harvesting node and then locating it in the dashboard list afterwards)? or can it be two different nodes and still allow harvesting successfully??

I do not know why a node is selecect in the dashboard but i do know sometimes the nano wallet will be blank until a new node is selected using the node button at the screen top margin.

thanks

Hi,

This node makes the link to the chain, it is used for websocket connection and various queries.

It is the node where your delegated account is sent to harvest on.

Yes absolutely

You mean that you need to change node for data to appear in Nano ? Nodes can have small down times sometimes

hi guys ,… can you use any node from the list ?

Yes. For harvesting though, there are only a limited number of slots open (can be configured by the node admin) so you’ll have to find one that has a free slot if you want to harvest remotely.

ok . Thanks . and what about this one “If you was already harvesting using Nano and your local storage have been erased, select the node you was using to restore app status. (Your harvesting did not stop).” ? i activated before this service but I never had 10k vasted balance … and now I`m not sure if I need to do something or just ignore this message ?

If you never actually harvested then you can ignore it.

i`v activate and deadctivated the delegating server but I didnt start harvesting because i never had vasted balance ,… its still counts ? now wen i have vasted balance I activated again and started harvesting , Shoud I ignore it yeah >/??

All that message tells you is that if you want to see the status of your harvesting then you need to select the correct node.
Also note that this doesn’t say anything about whether or not you have delegated harvesting activated or not. There is a difference between having it activated (i.e. transferring your importance to a remote/delegated account) and being actively harvesting.

Ok I understand … Thanks dude !
