Having trouble sending XEM from an exchange to my nano wallet [SOLVED]

Hi
I have recently purchased some XEM, and since it is still sitting on the exchange I am trying to send it to my nano wallet.
So to simplify things I will just explain what I have done.
1: Downloaded an ran the Nano wallet.
2: Created an account and pass phrase then logged in.
3: I copied and pasted the address into the send XEM address at the exchange, then clicked send.
4: The address I used was the one under account information which is a string of 40 uppercase characters separated by “-” a dash.

Is there anything else I need to do?
I have recently used other coins and they just require a public address to send coins out of the exchange.
Not sure why this is such a difficult process, I would rather not cash out, I have come this far but just cannot find the info I need, I have been on this for half a day now.

Thanks

Immediate neighbor status is remittance, so NanoWallet can not confirm funds.
Are you correct in recognition?

First of all, please confirm that a green circle is displayed in “Node” on the dashboard Screen?
Please tell me the address written in “fig: 4” in order to confirm the details.

Thank you.

Hi
There is a green light on the node dashboard.
NDOGJC-NZTWBP-H7EQ2V-WIFJOR-K3JRTX-3OEXPI-DFLH
The above is the address I use at the exchange, from my account nano wallet account.

I tried looking up “immediate neighbor status” but not sure what it is.
Thanks

Click Account.
At that time, is Public key displayed?

No, it says “I need to make a transaction to get a public key”.
I have read this before yet some people say I do not need the public key.

Thanks

There seems to be a place in the exchange where you do not send money if there is no public key.

I have sent 1 XEM to you right now. It should arrive.
This means that the specifications of the exchange are problems.

Please send 0XEM to yourself using that 1XEM.
Please use 1XEM you sent as a fee.
When you do that, a publickey is issued.

It says “insufficient balance”, I need 10XEM as a fee to send 0XEM to myself.
If you sent it, I could send it back to you, yet there is no guarantee when I get a public key that it will work on the exchange I am using, which means if the public key does not work then I cannot get it off the exchange at all.

Thanks

If you have not sent money, there is no public key.
With NEM specifications you can remit money even if you do not have a public key at the remittance destination.

When an exchange does not send a remittance at one time, it may be a mistake of input when it is entered, it may be a spec made arbitrarily.

In addition, remittance fee of 0XEM is 1XEM.(no message)
You should be able to send it, please do it again.
After that, please contact the exchange and solve the problem.

Ok thank you very much, much appreciated.
I will first contact my exchange, and look into this.
I see your profile, so I can get your address and repay you with some extra once I get this worked out.
I am not sure why the exchange can sell XEM if I cannot move it out.

There is no return, it’s okay (^ o ^)
Support is done as a hobby lol

XEM sent to you is not on the block chain except me.
This means that it has not been remitted from the exchange.

There are two problems in this case.
· The exchange has not sent money.
· Incorrect input of remittance destination

If you do not mind, I would be happy if you let me know the exchange for future support.

It is coinspot.com.au
It was the only one I could find suitable, since I am not so educated on cryptocoins.
And no it is not one of the large ones online that seem to restrict AU trading to just a few main coins.
Yet so far it appears to work, except for today with the issue with XEM.

Hi
On my nano-wallet the fee to send 0XEM is 10XEM.
But on your transaction the fee was only 1XEM?
I have tried this many times but it is locked to that fee.
If I send 2XEM the fee is 8XEM, and so on.
Thanks

Please let me know the version of NanoWallet and the browser you use.
Currently, remittance fee from 0XEM to 19999 XEM is 1XEM.

Firefox 54.0.1 (32 bit)
Nano wallet is 1.1.11 (I think 64bit)
I am not sure but maybe I should go to 64 bit Firefox?
Thanks

The latest version of NanoWallet is 1.4.0.
It is caused by old Wallet.
Back up the wlt file and private key and update from the following URL.
https://www.nem.io/install.html

Your version is the latest version of FireFox.
Both 32-bit version and 64-bit version are released in the same version.
Probably, there should be no problem.

I have downloaded Firefox 64 bit and the new version of nano wallet 1.4.0.
It has worked, I now have a public key!
I will try this on my exchange.
I will get back with the results.

Nothing at present, still pending on the exchange (and yet when it cancels my XEM is gone).
I used the public key and that has not forwarded any XEM to my nano wallet account.
Yet the nano wallet seems to be working and from what I see I have tried about all the Keys.
Maybe it will take time though I suspect the exchange has a problem.
Thank you very much for your assistance I will not give up on it.
I will keep you informed on the progress.
No great money lost, I spent about 20AU trying, but I just wish it would work, I am not going to make a larger transaction when it is not going into my wallet at all, that would be useless.
I have sent the exchange a report.

Hello Mizunashi

I raised an issue with the exchange and they replied to me saying that I was not sending a large enough amount of XEM from my account, hence it was being rejected/canceled.
They returned the canceled transaction amounts to my account so no losses occurred.
I guess the exchange has some kind of stipulation or fees that do not allow the sending of small amounts that do not cover the fees (I did send enough to cover the fee displayed yet there must be some other fee or stipulation)? I am unsure and have replied to them asking exactly what amount or percentage I need to send as they never explained this in their reply.

Thanks

It worked!
For some strange reason the exchange did not work when I sent less than 50XEM.
So I did a test and sent 100XEM and it was in my nano wallet in seconds.
Thanks again
