I just successfully bought and redeemed my first NEM stake.

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind:

1. I can't harvest with 5M coins? (Oops! ERROR 700 The provided account does not satisfy the basic criteria for harvesting. Mainly it is related to the amount of XEM within the account. Harvesting starts with at least 1000 XEM. )

2. I have backed up my private key and my public key for my account. Do I need to backup my .wlt file too?

  1. You can, but you need to have a vested balance of at least 1,000 XEM. The balance gets vested automatically, you only have to wait. The vested balance is shown below your balance when you go to Dashboard in the client.
    2. I think you are talking about your real account data? Since we are still on testnet, you don't have to backup anything. You can of course, if you like: Then you should backup your wallet (.wlt file) and the address book (.adb file).

if you import the private key you created using "create real account data", it will create a testnet address. so there is no point backing up a wallet file that was created from the real account data. its probably not advisable to put your live net private key into the testnet client either. if you have backed up your private key for real account that is ok. if your not used to backing up wallet files, it would be a good idea to get used to it before launch though. :slight_smile:

BTW nice tutorial kodtycoon. I wouldn't handle the redemption without this video guide.

There are som red warnings when loading nix.runNis.sh. I am just curious if I should pay attention to this.

glad the video helped. :)

i think that warning is because your node is either not booted or is in the process of booting. it should go away on its own i think. not entirely sure though.
