I'm on a new computer as I factory reset it. How can I access my nem account. I've got my passphrase but there is no where to add it when I click open existing wallet. I only know my wallet name and passphrase.
I'm running on the standalone BTW

I sure hope you made a backup of your wallet somewhere. If so then just copy that into the nem folder.
If you didn't make a backup you've done fucked up. NEM doesn't use brainwallets.

yes...as long as you got the priv-key your good to go.

I'm mainly invested in NXT and just assumed they had a similar system.

What kind of answer do you expect to your question on the forum dedicated to the project ? Do you think we'll tell you "Yes, just another coin, don't bother investing" ?

I have lost propably ten times more during the 2015 crypto bear market if it makes you feel any better :) I still believe nxt and nem have a brighter future.
NEM is just getting started. NXT has made a lot of nice tech, and NEM is much younger but it is doing it right.
Also while NXT started out super cheap went to 100 million USD and now down to 9 million. That's what happens when at first only 70 people control a coin.
NEM will be much different. We are pretty much starting out at the bottom and building up very slow and steady. It's not really the type of coin that people can pump as the distribution is way to wide.
There was one round of dumps, the first round, which is people getting launch coins and just selling for easy profit. That round seems to be mostly done and consisted of a lot of people that sold all their coin. So what's left is believers and investors.
So the question is, when are the believers and investors willing to sell? For me, I think NEM has to be 5 to 10 times higher before many will even start to thinking about selling parts of their stashes.

Ha what can you do. I just sold most of my shares in the ASX (aussie stock market). Can't handle the boredom on things going forever sideways. I'm reinvesting them into crypto. Mostly NXT but I will have to buy nem again.
I don't know a lot about it but it seems ok and its super cheap. Just dreaming of it hitting $1 us dollar haha.
