How do I send xem to my desk top wallet?

I bought XEM on exchange with bitcoin and want to transfer to my desktop wallet. How do I proceed?

Hello. Login into Your wallet.

In the MainMenu you should see …
Choose Account:
Address:
Public key:
Importance score:
Vested balance:

Copy the combination of letters and numbers from ADDRESS!!
Should look like this …
Address: NDBH2N-ZDTRUT-FVDULR-7GXGLQ-4QFMSM-6GV7SL-SUS6

Go to withdraw the XEM from the exchange and paste the adress from the wallet.

After the exchange has sent the XEM to you - you will hear a sound from your wallet
which tells you its waiting for confirmation.
After confirmation is done (that should be quick) another sound will tell you so.

A reminder to send a test amount first before you send the whole amount in case something goes wrong.

Thanks for the help.

I copied the address and sent a test amount to my wallet from Jaxx. It has
not shown up. I did get a confirmation from the exchange that it was sent.

I still have not received the 16 XEM I sent for a test amount. I put in the correct address. Poloniex confirmed the transaction.

I do see this "NIS is synchronizing. At block 1048967, est. 57 days behind. " Is this the issue?

the message “NIS is synchronizing …” means it is loading in memory
the blockchain. Should have to wait until it completes or point to
a full node / supernode with free slots
