Guys how to boot a local node? I don't even know what a local node is. This process seems way complex for the normal guy in the street.
I have tried clicking on boot local node, but the bar still says NIS requires to be booted. Please open your wallet and boot a local node via the popup dialog or configure the auto-boot setting at the top?!

All you have to do is open your wallet.
I'm in the wallet bro.
ok wait dude nevermind. That was a weird glitch. here is what happened.
1. I installed latest NEM beta client after deleting all nem stuff from alpha version
2. I created brand new wallet.
3. as soon as i created wallet it took me right inside the wallet. But no NIS could boot.
4. If i went back out of the wallet then it would say 0 wallets found.
5. If I shut nem down completely and load it back up then now I can sign into my wallet and NIS is booted.
I think it is confusing that sometimes it is said that NIS must be booted and sometimes its called "local Node" need to be booted. This should be simple and clear - so it would be better to always use the exact same terms for one thing.
It has done the same thing today. It does it the first time I start NEM. Second time is OK, Bug?
Hi guys
I'm getting "oops - error 306" when I try & boot the local node from in the wallet.
NCC and NIS are both already running.
I've already opened & closed the wallet a few times with autoboot on - but not sure if I'm doing that right…
do I just make up a name for the local node? or is it my public key?
Thanks
jk
