Hi, guys, I recently found a situation.
I change my VPS from US to Tokyo (vultr). At the same time, Upgrade from NCC wallet to Nano wallet. Use Nano wallet to remote harvest from my VPS. But I firure out one phenomenon. When I use NCC wallet to remote harvest on my US VPS. I can get nearly 20 XEM a week from remote harvesting. But last week I got none.
My question is, would the wallet I use (NCC、Nano) affect the chance of harvest blocks. If the same POI means the same chance of havesting. I would like to test jumping back to US and harvest again. Maybe the network environment is diffrent or maybe I’m just out of luck to haverst a block LOL.
What is your importance score? There’s is no guarantee you are going to harvest a block at a constant basis. is pure luck.
Ncc and nano wallet are clients, they do not harvest. Nis is the server which you can harvest on. If you have server you should insert your remote private key as boot key and turn on auto start harvesting in configuration of nis
HaHa my POI: 0.57*10e-4 Thanks I understand
Thanks for your answer. it’s too risky putting my private key inside the config file. I use my VPS as a pulic node.
No.
You put there your REMOTE private key.
Anyway, inserting your private key to config file is the same risk as starting harvesting on that node with normal harvesting
