How would you save the world?

We see a lot of suffering on the planet these days which is simply born out of greed, our modern culture promotes us to benefit from the weaker. Some individuals may think that greed is the thing that keeps humans evolving and reaching out to new discoveries, but in fact selfish actions only make us bitter and destroy us in the long term. We are facing challenges unlike seen never before. Violence, disease, destruction of nature etc. the list is long, even human might become endangered itself one day. Greed is true weakness, and a seed for self-destruction.

Now, as NEM is about to launch, there will soon be a considerable number of nembers who will get such an amount of money to control that the majority of people on this planet never have access to. I want to challenge each and every one reading this to think what kind of keys of change NEM gives to the stakeholder population. I'm not here to condemn, or to say what you should or should not do with your money. I just want you to consider, even for a few minutes, how could you individually help humanity in the best way? Each and everyone of us is different with different abilities, therefore we should find our true selves and fulfill our destiny on the path of saving humanity and the world.

I would kill 1 billion of most useless and harmfull people. Maybe two if one not enough. The problem is: how to recognize them. I know only about few of them. I cant live million times simultanously to mark them all for being "switched off". And believe me, without many people would be the world much prettier and healthier. Sad but true.

I hope you are joking

In this case I guess it would be probably best to start with yourself. "much prettier and healthier. Sad but true."

I dont think he is....

I like the idea of a World Resource Economy but have great doubts on its achievability.
The bad news is we are in for some shitty times ahead methinks.
The good news is that the hard decisions will eventually be made , I just hope it wont be too late for our still ' beautiful ' planet.

Note…the answer to the question is too great to be summerised here I think.

I would argue that perhaps, the world doesn't need saving. The world is plenty capable of saving itself - even if it's from humans ;).

Greed isn't exclusively a human trait, animals also exhibit similar tendencies; it's all bought about from a will to survive - survival of the fittest. Predictably, us humans seem to have this false belief that we're above it, beyond it. We're arrogant and it's this arrogance that leads us down self-destructive and short-sighted, paths. We're consequently blind to our own selfishness because we refuse to acknowledge it.

You could argue that in terms of economics, that too is much like the game of life; survival of the fittest idea's, inventions, and horders of the most money. The difference is what is at stake isn't going to be immediate death (just perhaps a precursor to it :D)

I do not believe any ideology can ever "correct" these simple truths, no matter how brutal or intense it is preached and practiced (many parallels here with Communism, at least in my mind - it's why dictatorship often is never far behind where this rears it's ugly head...)

We are human, and we are fragile and fleeting. Acceptance of these realities is the only way forward to better dealing and understanding it as and when it happens.

Anywhoo, philosophical mumbo-jumbo aside (and back on the subject of NEM); the best course of action is to reinforce real, honest money to people, break free of a FIAT system based on debt and deceit. This is something i'd be willing to throw my NEM at ;).

By making markets more efficient and reducing waste and useless actors (e.g., banks), NEM can help to make the lives of average people much better.

The kingdom of NEM is within!

NEM could actually form a basis for a decentralized, digital country, where everyone follows basic economic rules based on contracts and math. This would allow an orderly global society, while still preserving local cultures.
