I can no longer find the wallet file in my computer [SOLVED]

Hi,

Yesterday I was able to find my wallet in the mainnet listing when I opened the NEM desktop application. Today, nothing was there. I tried to import the wallet and couldn’t find it on my desktop. Here’s there a way for met to get it back? ( I have 987 NEM)

I have my wallet address, I believe I still have the wallet private key as well, but can’t find the wallet file (.wlt) however.

Here’s the address: NBHM5N6OITLMH4A4XWV3WQHHEUULOLDVYK4P5GMT

Which nanowallet version you use? Standalone or universal client?
Did you try search entire disk for files with extension .wlt ?

Ok I just gained access to my account! When I used the NanoWallet-1.4.13-win64 the name of my account wasn’t there.
But I just found that I had also the NanoWallet-2.0.14-win64, and the name of my account was there when I opened it!

How can I export my wallet now? I don’t see the option. I never want to get this feeling again!.

  1. Login
  2. Click “Account” in top right corner
  3. In bottom right part of view you have “Backup wallet” section
  4. Select there wallet and download wlt file

Obove you can also get your plain next private key. Provide password and click plus button. Keep private key safe in offline location because it’s unencrypted. Wlt file is encrypted with your password.

Ok perfect thanks!

Also, I don’t see any option to receive in the wallet. Is that normal?

You can find also your wallet address when you click “Account” link in top right corner.
Receive tab was removed in nanowallet 2.x.x

Found it!

Thanks for prompt response!

No problem
Keep your backups safe !
