I deleted all my data, beacuse forum said me to do it (I was having NIS error issues). Now I cant sign into my account. How can I do it?
This is tutorial for nanoWallet which is suggested wallet for NEM. Maybe it will help you if you have some backuped information.
Have you got some video about NEM wallet?
NanoWallet is official NEM wallet, as well as android and ios app. If you have some more questions and want to ask them âliveâ, please go to official polish telegram channel for NEM:
When was this told to you?
I donât know, I found it somewhere on NEM forum.
Please never delete anything without making a backup first.
Are you using Nanowallet or NCC?
If you are using Nanowallet, and you cleared your browser cache, you can reimport your wit file. Just search for the wallet name.
I am using NCC. What to do?
What operating system are you using?
Have you tried to search for your âwalletname.wltâ file? The wallet will be named whatever you named it when setting up an account.
I am using Mac OS X El Capitan v.10.11.6
I have some recovery programs, they might find it. But if I find it, what to do next?
In the finder window, search for either â.wltâ or preferably âyoeurwalletname.wltâ if you know what you named your wallet. replace âyoeurwalletnameâ with your wallets name.
The location of your wlt file should be ânem > ncc > yourwalletname.wltâ
The ânemâ folder will be in the same directory that you placed the âpackageâ folder.
You should find the â.adbâ file in the same place, with the same name. You will need both of those files to log in to your wallet.
I installet NCC wallet second time. when i went to nem > ncc, there wasnât any .wlt file. What now?
Please do this:
Search your trashcan as well. If you really deleted the .wlt file, then you will need to look into recovery software.
On my normal disc, there arenât any .wlt files. I need to search for them in the software.
The software havenât found any .wlt file in my not and lost files. That seems that in first wallet I didnât have that file. What now?
If you had an account in NCC, then at some point you had a â.wltâ file.
There are professional recovery services available, but they cost $2000+. If it is worth it all depends on how much XEM you have lost.
I had an acc in NCC, but i donât see any .wlt file here (I cleaned my computer out of trash and installed NEM client again, there isnât anything). What is going on?
My XEM was worth 4000$âŚ
It sounds like you deleted your wallet. I am sorry but your XEM may be lost.
I donât see any other option at this point, besides taking it to a professional recovery service. Even then, there is no guarantee that your wallet can be recovered.
@Saul: I donât have any experience with NCC because I use the NanoWallet. With the NanoWallet I did some testing before buying my first NEM to understand how it works. I found out it had a ârecovery modeâ when you have your private key and lost your .wlt and/or password. Is this not possible with NCC ?
Do you (still) have your private key @Robert_Kwiatkowski ?
update:
I pushed a quick blogpost tutorial which I already had in draft, maybe it helps. I mean option 3, using the private key:
Yes that would be very helpful. Though I do not think he has the private key.
