After a year and a half of research and planning, NEM Ventures is calling for applications to its 100% virtual incubator “Ignite” from January 25th extending till February 22, 2021 followed by the first cohort program set to begin on March 22nd till July 14 2021. Ignite will provide tailored business mentoring and financial support for early-stage blockchain projects building on either NIS1 or Symbol and an award of up to USD $10K for participating.
The Ventures team carefully designed the 3 month long program to contain all of the need to know about business strategy and fundraising into one on ones and workshops which will cover a wide variety of hard (financial projections and fundraising 101) and soft topics (pitching, design, business development, and marketing) whilst providing ad hoc tech and mentoring support throughout.
The Ventures team is committed to giving tailored support to each startup by limiting participants to only 2 per cohort and by evaluating with the startup what support it needs against the proposed program by adjusting the curriculum accordingly. Startups are expected to meet with the Ignite team once weekly for a 2 hour virtual session and the rest of the week will be filled with action oriented readings, assignments, and tutorials all with the end goal in mind to help the startup brush up on its business strategy and/or to create a data room for investors.

Ignite plans to run 2 or 3 cohorts a year open to all geographical regions, and plans to have language support for English and Japanese.
