Important News - NEM is launching!
The waiting period is finally over. The Nemesis block is now complete, Main Net testing is running as planned and everything else appears to be prepared for launch. Thus, we are very happy to announce the official launch date for NEM: [url=http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20150331T19&p0=1440&msg=Official+NEM+Launch+Date]31 March 2015 - at 19:00 UTC.
Important Note: Despite best intentions the above mentioned launch date is a tentative one and we reserve the right to change it if any critical issue would arise in the meantime that could endanger the NEM network.

It's not very clear for me how to install the standalone version.
When I click on the installer, it shows that I still need the java 64 bits which my computer doesn't accept.
What are the parts below do I install to make it run properly?

But this wallet is driving me nuts. When I create a new wallet I get this warning:
"ERROR 500
An error occurred that the development team did not have foreseen. Apologies for this, maybe a retry might help. Otherwise, please open up an issue within the NEM NIS/NCC community."
When I try to open an existing wallet I get another error message:
ERROR 400
Some parameter is missing or invalid. (account)
Sometimes Nis is not available and I must have messed up by opening ports 7890 and 8989.
I do not know what to do and it's very frustrating compared to the installation of other wallets.
Even the new wallet I try to create I get the message that the password is not valid when I come back to open it.
I really hope I'll get things sorted out before launch. But still wonder how some people are going to use this coin in a wallet if they struggle like me on the installation.

you will be able to harvest straight away if you are in the genesis. your coins will be fully vested.
and yes you will need to install nem. just follow the guide above.

"If you are in the genesis" means if you are an initial stakeholder or NXT AE stakeholder who has successfully claimed your stake and therefore will be importing your private key at launch. In this case, your account is already made and vested with the amount of XEM corresponding to the amount of NEMstake you redeemed. This means that your account will be fully vested and ready to begin harvesting as soon as you import your private key.
