Imported wallet on new computer and NEM balance is gone

Good day whomever,

So, a friends laptop died recently and had to get a new one. I downloaded the NEM wallet and used the private key to retrieve the wallet. Well, I gained access to the account, but there is no funds. Is there any secondary doings that need be done on my end?

If you restored from private key (Sign up > Private key wallet option) and you got empty account it means you provided invalid private key. You can compare your old address if it’s the same.
