Is vesting needed for anything except harvesting?

I know that you need 10k vested XEM to start harvesting. But is there anything else that vesting is needed for?

Are there any other planned features (going to be deployed in the future) that will depend on vested amount?

I can’t speak for anything in the future.
But right now, yes, vested balance is only used for harvesting.
