- I'm having some issues recovering my NEMstake. Wondering if anyone out there can help?
Here is my situation:
[li]I downloaded the beta NEM client during the asset redemption phase (November 2014) and created an account. From there I created a "real" NEM address to store my stake in just like the directions said. I confirmed the public/private key several times to make sure it was valid and backed-up all the information.[/li]
[li]I then transferred my NEMstake to the required address (NXT-97MX-EWKV-CGKX-DA5WH) with a public message including my "real" NEM address.[/li]
[li]A few days later I checked the stakeholders list to make sure the transaction had been recorded and that my address made it onto the stakeholder's list, as was recommended.[/li]
[li]I also updated my NEM beta client in December and confirmed that the "real" address was still valid.[/li]
[li]Since that time I have not really been following closely.[/li]
[li]I just noticed today the launch happened...so I proceeded to see if I could get my stake and put it into my wallet.[/li]
[li]I followed the tutorials on the new website (which looks great btw). I uninstalled the old beta client and downloaded v.0.6.25.[/li]
[li]I then created a new wallet as explained in the tutorial titled "Important Information & Accessing Your NEM stake".[/li]
[li]Once inside my new wallet I tried to add an existing wallet as described and pull in my NEMstake using the public/private key I made in November.[/li]
[li]The problem is that I get an error message: "Error 124 - The provided password for the address book is not correct."[/li]
[li]I then checked the Final Stakeholders list, and now it would appear that my address/public key are not on the list, even though it was there after my initial asset transfer.[/li]
Did I miss a step along the way?? Not sure if my stake is now gone forever or what happened to it...any ideas to troubleshoot would be welcome.
Thanks.
