It looks as if i have deleted my account in my nem wallet ..i did not see the undo

I hit delete account in my nem 1.0.69 wallet by accident …cant seem to recover… have i lost my nem?

When you made your account it should of downloaded a .wlt file in your downloads.

I dont see that file on my phone all i have is my public address and an empty wallet app

I dont think it did because i cant find that file on my phone. Why was it so easy to lose my nem within my own wallet? I only have my public address and my empty wallet app

Sorry about that, I thought you were referring to Nano. Not sure on the phone app, if you haven’t rebooted or restored it, it may still be in memory. Was it a substantial amount of xem? Could be that official support for NEM has some more info.

Thanks it was about 3000 nem where to go for a nem support contact?

You should always do private key backup. With private key you can easy restore wallet.

Now if you delete wallet and don’t have backup your only chance is that you have turn on automatic backup via google or apple cloud (depends on which os you have). Maybe you can restore from cloud backup (if it’s turn on).

There is also a lot apps that restore accidently removed files for Android. You can check this apps.

First of all, stop using the phone. Every use gives a chance of overwriting data. As its like £600 GBP, i would attempt to recover it. Maybe contact the wallet recovery services. If you would like me to contact you further, i might be able to guide you into recovering it depending on your phone. What you need is a raw sector by sector dump to be made.

I have my wallets backed up in several places, not including 3x encrypted CDs stored in separate physical locations, encrypted file container in the telegram cloud and on my phone/tablet as well as my main PC. Hardware wallet seeds saved on the said CDs and on paper.

If your in the UK and close to my area, i would be willing to meet you in person and attempt to recover it for a 20% bounty.

Can’t be too careful.

No NEM support can help, as the private keys have been deleted, and if you have not backed them up, it is the ONLY thing that can help you access your funds. Even under torture or with every super computer in the world, without that private key, the funds are not spendable. Even all the energy in the sun would not be able to brute-force a private key. It is that deleted private key we are hoping to recover from your phone. As when files are deleted, its like ripping the index out of a book, the pages are still there but marked as ready to be re-written over, this may happen later as you use the phone.

And for the love of god, do not install recovery apps ON the phone, its asking for trouble as it may overwrite said key.
