Let's Open Source NIS1

NEM/TB should open source the entire NIS1 stack.

Why?

1. It is proven
2. It is production ready
3. More developers will contribute
4. It still has a lot of life left in it - even when Catapult is completed

This would be like AngularJS and Angular. AngularJS is still more used than Angular. Angular is the newer better framework, but it is still being proven.

Here is how we open source NIS1:

1. NEM goes to their Github repo
2. Click settings and make repo public

Due to arrangement with TB, nis1 probably won’t be open sourced anytime soon.
(and most likely not before catapult will be launched in public network)
