Hi,
I have made some scripts to build a Linux live CD dedicated to running NCC. When you boot it, it automatically logs you in an starts a browser pointing you to the locally running NCC. When you close the browser, it shuts down the computer.
This is currently best run in a VM, but if there is interest I can work further on it to improve its usability. Feedback welcome!
Here is the URL: https://github.com/rb2nem/nem-live
Interesting project.
The target group is probably people who are interested in running a NEM node on an old spare computer (notebook) but don't know much about configuring Linux etc.?

I see some possible uses that I imagine:
[li]you want to try NEM without wanting or being capable of installing it on your PC[/li]
[li]you do a demo of NEM at a booth, and want to let visitors access and play with the wallet[/li]
[li]you keep it with on as a backup in case your computing devices fail/are stolen/.. You can then run it on another PC[/li]
I've discovered bitkey through another post on the forum and am trying turnkeylinux, on which it is based. It could be better to switch to it for usb key boot, as what I did currently is better run in a VM.
a usb key boot sounds really cool to me

Yes, I've started working on it. Don't hold your breath yet though, as I have a very busy schedule in the coming weeks....

Or people interested in cold wallet signing of transactions.

That will require the development of a dedicated utility, no?

It should be possible with just the live NEM CD though you would have to use the API.
