Hi. I have a problem with NEM wallet on my Android phone.
Recently, I’ve lost all my apps, along with NEM wallet. When I restored them, wallet was there but I had to set up a new account. I can’t see any place where I can type my username and password from previous account. I didn’t get any private keys, just username and password.
So, how can I retrive my coins and account?
Thanks.
I do not know the cause of lost application.
Was the mobile wallet reinstalled?
In order to prevent such an accident, I think that a message is displayed just after installing the wallet, as soon as I approve that I will back up my private key.
Mobile Wallet can not be recovered without a stored private key.
Unfortunately.
You can’t. If everything is deleted then so is your private-key which is the only way to access your account. This is why it’s so important to make a backup.
But I did make a backup for all my apps. There is no chance of getting my account just by running the backup before i lost my app?
did you backup app data as well ? Is your wallet back too ? If so then you just need to enter your password. If you had to create a new account though, then it doesn’t sound like it backed up your data. Backup of apps is a whacky matter and it’s best to manually back up data and in nems case the private-key seperately.
Ok, i did it! I made 3 backups. First backup just downloaded wallet from the web. Second backup didn’t even have NEM wallet on it. Third backup, and the most tricky one, did the thing.
Wow, thanks guys!
P.S. Always backup your keys and system! Always!
word!
