MacOS 10.10 nano wallet connection issues

So I have it running okay on my mac at work running Sierra 10.12 - and it’s also running fine on my iPhone… but on my imac here at home I’m just getting all nodes as red.

I’ve opened ports 7890 and 7778 - and the system firewall is off.

Anything else I need to try?

Thanks

Hi. Could you try open for example url:
http://209.126.98.204:7890/chain/height ?

Yep that’s fine:
{“height”:1365308}

@Saul @mizunashi have you some diagnose tools? Maybe telnet is suitable for this?

Do you use the application version for MacOS?
In that case, please try the universal version.

If you have a similar symptom here as well, I’d like to start Java Console from a browser and find out the cause.

Thanks

Had to run it under Chrome, as Safari didn’t like it… anyhow - imported the wallet okay, but still all nodes red.

It’s not the end of the world for me, as I do have it running fine on my mac at work on Sierra 10.12

Must be something weird in the router settings I presume?

What kind of error has occurred when accessing with Chrome?
With OSX, you can display it with Command+Option+j .

Under Chrome I was able to login to the wallet - but as on the desktop application - all nodes were red.

It wouldn’t run under safari at all.

Generally, it is made to operate with standard network · PC setting.
Currently, it is connected with Chrome and Safari on MacOS without problems.
Are you using any software that filters networks?

Also provide a screenshot of the error message that comes up when you change the node several times. It will be displayed with the shortcut key we talked about.

I’m not running anything particular, and it’s a fresh install of 10.10. On the router side my port forwarding looks like this:
56

The setting on the router is set for access from the outside, so I do not think that setting is necessary in particular.

There is something I want you to do by testing with NanoWallet settings.
There is a custom node setting in the node setting. What if I set the following IP address there?
104.238.161.61

I appreciate all the assistance with this - but I don’t want to waste your time if you could be finishing Catapult

Happy to continue searching for a solution if there’s a potential bug that needs fixing though.

Here, as for the person who is replying, since most people including me are general users, there is no problem even if you do not mind about development.

Anyway, this is strange.
I can only think that communication is blocked somewhere on the route.

When I get some more time - I’ll run some traceroutes etc and see if I can track down where communication is failing

Thanks for your cooperation.

Just to be sure, is your PC’s time accurate?
Also, I will prepare to leave from now. This is 7 am soon.

yes - definitely time accurate. thanks

@Saul @Quantum_Mechanics
Although he/she can see the API in the browser, it seems that it can not connect from NanoWallet. Do you understand something?

Hi @Dannykos - can you confirm your mac is running latest version of Java 8 (Update 151)
