Nano Wallet - Unable to Connect to Any Nodes [SOLVED]

Hi All,

After setting a new wallet and signing in, I get the red circle in the upper right hand corner along with the “Node seems offline, please select another one.” I’ve literally tried every single Node option in the drop down menu, and the node remains red. I’ve tried on multiple computers, both Chrome and Firefox, tried disabling firewalls, etc. I’m at a loss as to how to solve this issue. Only other thing I can think of is that I’m currently at school and perhaps the network is blocking me from connecting? I have not been able to use VPN from my location either, for example.

Has anyone ever encountered the same issue before?

Are there alternatives I can use besides Nano Wallet? Maybe try the Phone version but make sure I’m off the wi-fi network?

EDIT: It was indeed my school network! Problem solved

I’m glad that you figured it out

If you use a mobile wallet please backup your wallet data and private key in a safe place.
If you brake or loose your phone you will be screwed without the backup.
Problems may also happen after system upgrade some apps including NEM wallet could stop working
therefore is better be safe.

Thanks for looking out freigeist. I do have backups stored on various other devices. This is probably a stupid question, but I only have to backup my wallet (the actual .wlt file) once to each device, right? I don’t have to keep saving another copy of the file every time I transact in my wallet?

Only one wlt because it contains encrypted private key. Of course for use this backup you need also to know password related with account.

I have the same problem. Message in the upper richt corner “Node seems offline, please select another one” I tried ten other nodes and they all seem to be offline. Anybody who knows to solve this problem please let me know. I’m using Dashbord nanoWallet in Windows10

In my case, it was a network problem. Are you on a school or work network that might have certain restrictions?

Thanks for the reply finally the alice2.nem.ninja node seems to work. So for me the problem is solved I think cause I don’t get that error message anymore.
