I think the carousel is an important part of NCC. We can give excellent information regarding NEM to new users through the carousel after the launch. Here are some of my suggestions:
-I have a 15" laptop and I have to scroll down to view the carousel. It should be visible to the user within the screen space once NCC loads and not after scrolling down.
-It is time to add some more information except the "NCC encrypts our wallet". We have to add some new info like Remote harvesting, Exclusive Multisig feature(Best in crypto history), Wonderful distribution, Most languages supported for a crypto ever, and some other features which are important and key to the movement.
Hence, my request to nemsters is to brainstorm some really important lines for the carousel. We can put together a list and after finalizing we can create a pull request on github. ;D

1.>NCC encrypts your wallet
Wallet security is very important to avoid the theft of XEM & assets
2.>Remote NEM Infrastructure Server (NIS)
By using a remote NIS you don't have to synchronise the blockchain at start-up and can even harvest without leaving your computer running. Be careful though - you should only use a remote NIS that is run by someone you trust !
3.>Multisignature transactions
Your crypto and assets are safe with the in-built, blockchain oriented multisignature transactions which is supported by NEM. You can select one or more accounts(n-1) which need to provide their signatures for a transaction to go through from a multisig account. So no Mt. GOX or BTER drama!!

6.>Native language support
NEM has an user interface which is supported by the most number of languages in crypto ever. No matter where you are from in the world, we have got the language support for you. Just use the "Settings" tab in NCC to choose your language.

Great idea to make it more useable for the smaller screens.
Can I take this a step further by proposing the opening screen to be responsive?
That way we can give priority to the important parts, like the carousel perhaps.
