I have just downloaded the standalone mac client. I have a few questions I would love if you guys could answer for me.
What is the NEM stake? I made a new wallet and when I followed the guide on how to get your NEM stake I put in my private key etc and it said this address already existed?
I want to invest 1 BTC in Nem which at the moment is roughly 1,340,000 NEM. Where is the best place to buy NEM? And once I send the NEM to my wallet is there anything else I need to do?
I'm finding it pretty confusing at the moment but I'm sure I will figure it out

Hi,
A long time ago before NEM was launched people bought and sold NEMstakes, which were basically accounts in the Nemesis (genesis) block.
If you didn't buy back then, you need not worry about NEMstakes now. They are all finished.
Now NEM is traded on the open market at

Links for each of these can be found on nem.io and the currency code for NEM is actually XEM.
