I have a wallet on Android. purse writes : client crashed, sending report / what do I do ?

What do you mean by ‘purse’

Try stop /starting the app. Not just closing the app, but stopping the running process. On my android s5, you get there by clicking the button to the left of the home button.

What are you doing when the crash happens?
Are you able to view your private key? If so, import that private key into the nano wallet, and you will have access to your XEM there.
