Maybe NEM should do as Dash, which is giving coins to people who open their first account. There is some psychology behind this campaign. In behavioral economics there is the endowment effect, the hypothesis that people ascribe more value to things merely because they own them. The first coins are like a seed that makes people want more. Dash’s one-week campaign ends today (5/13/17), and this was a very good week for them.

The idea of the campaign was to give Dash to people who don’t have Dash. They paid me 0.226. Not bad!
