You may be aware that I am in the process of writing many “History of the First Year” books based on individual cryptocurrencies. A decision was made earlier this year to research the historical content for a book about NEM. In addition to initial research, a preliminary cover has been professionally designed.

Hi,

I have a question. Will you start the history with the launch?

We have a pretty long history, way more than a year prepping for launch, so it seems like better to start with launch to me.

Also, We are just “NEM” now and not New Economy Movement. Just in case there is any confusion.

The book will begin from day one of the announcement.

The problem with covering the 1st year from the date of that announcement is that NEM took 15 months from there on to launch and morphed quite a bit from the original concept. One would say completely as it was going to be a fork of NXT, and now it is 100% new code.

There are some nice events that could be summarized that led up to launch, but I think starting from launch would be better personally.

It depends on how much influential content occurred before the launch date. I will look into how the initial discussion can be presented in the book.
