NEM Infographic

Do we have any people in the community who can make infographics for NEM?

It would be great to have NEM vs NXT, NEM vs BTC, NEM vs Fiat.

patmaster started putting one together (attached), but I think a designer could really help with it :D.

Yes, this was always meant to go through the hands of a designer
This is a couple months old though so it might be worth for someone to look over it.

I posted this on Trello but since that's private I'll post it here for everyone to scrutinize. This is totally a work in progress, but something I just threw together this morning. Let me know what you all think.

This is pretty good !
You can scale the images you post by giving them width

Thanks, scaled it so as to not take up too much space.

looks good

Thanks for the work, looks good.

Amy, looks good! But, can we drop the last part (about aliases) because that won't be supported for a while.

We certainly can, but rockethead and I are currently discussing whether we even like this infographic at all really lol. I threw this together as a kind of a mock-up mostly, as I am no professional designer, but everyone seems to like it thus far. I'm still going to be making changes to it and trying to get the colors to look better, as well as some other minor things. I'm going to be quite busy with my translation work (ugh, stupid "real" job :P) so I may not have much time to dedicate to making those changes in the next couple of days but I am going to be revising it over the weekend most likely. I'll post back when I have some other versions to look at. :)

In my opinion upoming features can be mentioned but should clearly be labeled as those.

I like the design of your graphic, amytheplanarshift. But I think we still have to work on the content. But before that we have to decide who we want to target.

I suggest to target people who are not into crypto currencies at all.
The people who already know bitcoin usually understand the advantages of NEM if they read about it at blogs/forums etc. If they didn't hear from NEM yet, the info graphic will still capture their interest and they will be able to get all needed information.

So if you agree to the above, the content should be simplyfied.
Examples:
- The headline "ALGORITHM-BASED BLACKLISTING" should rather be something like "PROFESSIONAL NETWORK PROTECTION".
- Not "LOCAL MULTI-PLATTFORM WALLET" but maybe "ANY DEVICE + ANY OPERATING SYSTEM"

We should focus on easy to understand information such as "a transaction is fully processed and confirmed within 1 minute".
For these information we should collect ideas from other users, because everybody knows some questions people ask when you tell them about NEM.

I completely agree with this sentiment. I basically only copied the original information written up by patmast3r because nobody else had yet, but if we want to do this for real we should probably sit down and determine exactly who the target audience is, what information we want to convey, and through what channels we are going to distribute the information as all of those things will determine what content we should/should not include.

Of course, there is no reason why we can't have a pretty infographic for the more tech-savvy audience to distribute through channels like the BitcoinTalk forums and other cryptocurrency-related avenues, and a more simplified version for pure marketing to the masses.

For a simplified infographic I think we need to eliminate all vocabulary that is specific to cryptocurrency and focus only on what NEM can be used for, and why it is safer/better to use than fiat or other "traditional" payment methods. The simplified version should also try to limit the amount of reading required, because for someone who is not familiar or not particularly interested in cryptocurrencies, a huge infographic full of boring text is not going to hold their attention for very long. The average person does not care how or why something works, they just want to know how it can make their life easier or save them money.

The target for this infographic - back when i wrote it up - were people that are already in crypto because we we're constantly getting questioned what's new/better about NEM.
I don't think we're - as of now - in a place were we can address completely non-crypto people because there is 0 use for non-crypto people right now. Imho that should start when merchants can accept NEM easily and people can use NEM easily neither of which is true right now.
In fact I think people that are completely oblivous of cryptos right now aren't even remotely in our reach for the next year or so. Cryptos are awesome but for reasons other than convinience and ease of use. Unfortunately that's exactly what most people are looking for.
