I don't know if participants are so professional that the final decision could be the result of 1 voting (when deciding logos or any other visual presentation).
Should we first select some idea or vision, which presents the goal or spirit of NEM, and after that use the best tools to implement that?
well there are indeed some logos missing. but we could still use the poll as a kind of preselection to get an idea where we are going.
we should make another poll with some new logos (and the missing ones) later and then there could be a final voting of the best 5 or something like that.

Agree. None of the one listed here http://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=26.0 convinced me.
Agree too, we need a simple logo that can easily be written.

I made this poll purely to gauge what kind of logo style the NEM community was most fond of at the time. It wasn't official, and obviously didn't include the logos made after I created the poll.

yes ... that could be still taken to the next level, though it is not clear, if it has an effect to the final selection - but it won't do any harm, I guess :)
With the 'next level' I mean
1. complete list of logos ( if currency symbols are separated, then it would be better. It looks like that many have not thought that currency symbol may be different from the logo)
2. discussion with pros & cons to raise new thoughts/ideas/notes
Discussion may be something else than simple "hate" / "like" :) Ofc it may be difficult to say, why someone prefer blue more than green - maybe the same problem with pictures. But the 'cons' can be said more specifically: eg. some logo is too similar with company X's logo, etc etc.
Discussion may contain comparisons,

3. voting ( with minus points or at least several alternatives )
