I present to you:

a very basic NEM Paperwallet generator

only for Testnet now because:
It needs a better RandomNumbergenerator
Only generates Testnet addresses now,
It needs a better design ^^

But it works, so that's something.

Nice work. So will I be able take my laptop off line, generate an address not known to the network and send my coins to it all while not being online? Cold storage in other words? (if never made a cold wallet before)

So now the options are, use Owon's generator to have a brain wallet if you want, or use the regular wallet file on the computer, or now a person will even be able to have a paper wallet.  It is like a little bit of everything and all before the Genesis block.

Yeah just remember dont use this for real NEM, not now, still beta.

If someone is good in Photoshop or something, a few better designs for the paperwallet would be nice :slight_smile:

Hopefully, but not sure yet. There are other things that have higher priority at the moment (e.g. multisig and some bug fixing / stabilization work).

Once nem oficially launched i will update it to generate real addresses with a better RNG within…a week or so.
until we launched this is pretty useless anyway xD

Well, I would agree with this.  I think it would be an awesome feature to say that NEM has at launch, especially since nobody else has one of these among NEMs immediate competitors, and 2 even among protocols that have paper wallet generators like Bitcoin, this system is still easier and an improvement.Â
