NEM Supernode Rewards Program

what do you mean?

Thanks BR. That would explain it. No worries.

Has the “computing power” requirements for SN’s changed. Seems like I got my first failure for a long time. Looks like the Supernode fund is going to be shared amongst fewer supernodes now if that is the case, and I foresee people selling XEM if there is no incentive.

Nope, requirements have not changed.

OK, must be my node. I’ll give it a kick…

There was a sort of paranoia where the cynic in me was thinking that there’s some rogue owners of SN’s who may be DOS attacking other SN’s so that it increases their reward share.

That’s a map of all active supernodes. I don’t think it includes nodes that are not enrolled in the supernode program.

The computing power test failed on mine with 7174 ms, but the expected and reporting result is as expected.

Expected Result 8e465657d33f418cf745d8bf95a3d35c23591d3814b36c437892c4bd2d82ad0c
Reported Result 8e465657d33f418cf745d8bf95a3d35c23591d3814b36c437892c4bd2d82ad0c

What is the minimum Computing power in ms in order to obtain a pass?

under 5000ms.

Because it calculates 10,000 iterators, performance of 2000 iterators per second or more is required.

how to become a super node? What would will appear in lists of super nodes.

I don’t think there will be an exodus of SN because they have to spend extra $10 to upgrade their server

I started getting failure as well on HostUs. I had GNome GUI. I switched service provider and got rid of the GUI and works perfectly now. Not sure if it was the service provider or the GUI causing it.

So I guess that technically the supernode requirements could have increased if the latest version of NIS takes longer to complete one of these iterations. Requirement is the same but more CPU might be needed to achieve it.

The payout transaction fee is still 6 Xem…will it be lowered in the near future?

This is especially noticeable in the case of VPS.
If some of the resources start to run short, the execution speed will be reduced.

Every day is a little tsuzuic, but the size of the block chain has become larger.
In order to keep the processing capacity more than constant, you must also consider the scale-up of the VPS.

The biggest barrier is that you need 3_000_000 xem to participate in the supernode program.
If you have that much, then you can follow the instructions of the first post of this thread.

thank you.
btw,157.7.197.62 has not passed and “Chain Height” has “no result” on https://supernodes.nem.io/archive/754/2433

but when I tryed to access
http://157.7.197.62:7890/chain/height
it seems to be correct height(1254775).
I have no idea that is “problem” or not.

the NIS config is wrong. The servant shows

http://157.7.197.62:7880/nr/metaData

while NIS shows

http://157.7.197.62:7890/node/info

Look at public key.

thanks.

How long does it take to change ip?
over 24 hours has passed but the ip has not been changed yet.
