Making an android tank battle game where you win the pot in Nem for the top leader-board position each day.
Thoughts and ideas or features you would like?
I considered having it handle either nem or nxt, or maybe both.
Will add some screenshots to the topic when they are ready.
Added a poll to see the best platform for the game.
I'd say either web based or android. Picking either Android or iOS kind of limits your audience, you can't really win because one way or another a user base gets neglected.
Perhaps web then port it down the road if things prove successful.
I am leaning towards Unity so far since it will port a version to an apk for android download pretty easy. Android advantage is that it has a nice p2p game management library with badges, leader board and everything built in. The bad thing about that is google isn't the friendliest on crypto

Here is general premise I will be coding on:
1. Player loads program and enters their garage
1.1 - Options to switch to bay 1 or bay 2, review salvage(repair or sell), review parts(assign or sell), swapshop(buy for sale items from players), research tech, workbench, bank vault( use of crypto wallet or colored coins that can exchange for crypto )
2 - Bay
2.1 - Design new battlebot - color, size, left weapon loadout, center weapon loadout, right weapon loadout
2.1.1 - Add weapon from inventory
2.1.2 - Modify engine - mod slots 1-speed, 2-size, 3-armor, 4-power
2.1.2 - Modify armor plating - mod slots chassis, weapons, tracks/wheels/hover plates
3 - Combat
3.1 - Select an arena from your tier
3.1.1 - Enter battle - pay entry fee, enter waiting room for p2p game.
3.1.2 - Watch current p2p game - game betting system for watchers?
3.1.3 - Damage in combat - weapons take damage, components/mods take damage. Salvage can happen on beaten enemies depending on level of damage( If your opponent is taken out by little damage more salvage will be available - projectile weapons vs explosive etc
3.2 - Battle continues until last 3 are left standing, salvage is cleared and sent to player salvage yard and game continues until 1 left.
4 - main menu - 1.1
Thoughts?
Make it cross platform so that it can be played on Android, iOS, Windows PC, Windows Phone and Mac (think that is the right order for penetration numbers ) concentrate on the biggest audience first but state an intention to support all platforms over time. If people want to bump the development of their platform allow them to send NEM.

Battle - avatars created, working on customization, combat code in progress

Great direction you are going. Do you know about "Pocket Tanks"? Me and my friends used to play it over LAN for hours. Something like that would be cool. And betting will be icing on the cake :)

I guess it depends on what view the user will have… Are you thinking side view or a top down view?

Yes, countless hours spent on pocket tanks :). The view varies from user to user, but it should have both the views. Personally I prefer the 3rd person view.

Yes, the 3rd person view looks so much better so I prefer it.
Will be isometric 3d, with camera following a little behind the avatar, will add in ability to pan out some.
