Hi guys, here is a link for a NEM vanity generator made released by A Man. http://blockexplore.in/static/nemGenVanity.zip
I haven't tested this on Windows, nor am I sure how to do get it to run, but if you guys can tell me, please leave a comment below.
If you are on a Mac, please unzip to your desktop.
Then open a terminal window and type: cd Desktop/nemGenVanity
and then type: java genacc
It will ask you for a target. To test write a three letter word and press enter. It should find it pretty quickly.
Please keep your key safe, and please donate to A Man if you like his hard work. NAU5O2-TNS7N4-WB5TKZ-SYSAQF-VWBVYU-3Q7FUC-KERB
It would be nice if you can tell what this piece of software can do. Because it doesn't ring a bell to me.

Hello.
I haven't tried but this this software should generate of find a vanity address.
They call it so don't ask me why! What is vanity address?!
For example if you check yours forum username here you were the one who have chosen the
username but when a NEM address is generated is generated randomly and you can't choose it like you have done it with your username here.
Then you have to use software like this if you want to have and address with a meaningful word or part of the word int it , an example could be:
FATIO2-TNS7N4-WB5TKZ-SYSAQF-VWBVYU-3Q7FUC-KERB
or
NAU5O2-FATIH4-WB5TKZ-SYSAQF-VWBVYU-3Q7FUC-KERB
To generate such NEM address you need to have a proper private key
and this what this software does is that it tries to find proper private key to generate
an address with word you specified.
The longer the word you specified the more it will have to run to find it.
I hope I gave you the right explanation.
Bye.
hi
this is how you use it right? and then its a waiting game ?

this is nice I like Vanity addresses
I have only tested it on Mac, but so far it has found 3 letter words easily, 4 a little longer. I haven't tested 5 but 6 letter words take hours.
I also haven't been having luck with numbers, not sure why, could just be bad luck. But for now it has found phrases with only letters really easily.
Going for 10 letter, and idea how long it would take with an Intel i5 16GB RAM?

Do you realise that you can't use just any number? Probably someone will explain that to you, I'm not that smart ;)

Thanks for coding this vanity generator, aDamnMan
General remark on addresses:
1) All mainnet addresses start with a 'N' followed by 'A', 'B', 'C', or 'D'. So you won't find addresses that start with 'NE' or 'NN' or 'N4'.
2) The digits '0', '1', '8' and '9' are not part of base32 and therefore will not appear in any address.

Don't suppose I can ask why these specific digits don't appear? Just curious.

That explains why when I tested "1" or "jabo38" my computer when super hot. hahaha
it would be better to see a status not just a blank screen, status like how many YEARS it will take for us to generate the address? hahaha thanks!!!
